Two (2) days prior to the incident Trillion was applied in a neighbouring farm (tree farm / ornamental nursery). Only two cows (out of 20) were affected: one dead the other one ill. Veterinarian was unable to determine cause of dead / sickness. Suspecting it might be a type of chemical poisoning. One of the water sources in the pasture is downstream from the tree farm, and near the salt-lick so they had asked the tree farm operator if any chemicals were applied that could have contaminated water source. Only recent chemical application was Trillion Turf Herbicide 2 days prior. There had been a rainfall event, so suspected that wash off may have contaminated water. Ingestion of poisoning plants has also been considered.
