1-26706197- The reporter, a representative from a veterinary clinic, indicates potential exposure of an animal to an herbicide containing the active ingredients 2,4-D and mecoprop-p. The reporter indicated a feline patient had died and wondered if it was related to the product. The reporter did not describe an exposure incident, andy signs the animal displayed, nor did they provide a signalment for the animal. It is unknown when the animal died and when any exposure may have taken place or by what route exposure may have taken place. This product would be unexpected to contribute to the death of a cat even following a description of direct exposure. The formulation is an irritant to most body surfaces it may come in contact with, and the species described is not prone to dietary indiscretion seen in other species. No further information is available.
