In this instance, the water discharge screen aboard the wellboat became plugged with kelp and other seaweed when flushing was attempted. This resulted in delayed flushing of the hydrogen peroxide from the well and an extended exposure time of the fish to this chemical. Please note that 4984 fish were immediately harvested, while the other 9000 fish were removed as mortalities the next day.
