1-26098974- The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her animal was exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient 100% corn gluten meal. The pet owner indicated she applied the product to her residential lawn the day prior to her initial contact with the registrant. She indicated her eleven year male fifteen pound Bichon Frise dog had access to the site of application the evening of application. The animal was observed ingesting several granules of the product. The pet owner indicated the animal had vomited that evening and just prior to the call. The pet owner revealed that her animal had been sick with a variety of issues since 11/--/10 and has been eating strange things as a result. The animal was also reported to have diarrhea and loss of appetite following ingestion of the product. The pet owner was advised of the potential for gastrointestinal irritation following ingestion. She was advised of home care and the threshold at which she should seek veterinary care. On follow up the pet owner indicated the animal¿s signs persisted for 48 hours and spontaneously resolved. No further information is available.
