1-26040696- The reporter, a pet owner, indicates his animal may have been exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient corn gluten meal. The pet owner stated he had applied the product to his lawn the day prior to his initial contact with the registrant. The pet owner stated he allowed his two and one half year male one hundred forty pound mastiff dog access to the application area the morning of his initial contact with the registrant. The pet owner states the animal had begun to salivate, lick his lips and gag several hours after access to the application area. He indicates the animal may have ingested some of the product but was did not observe an exposure incident. The caller was advised of the potential irritant effect of the product if ingested. She was advised of home care and the threshold at which she should seek veterinary care. On follow up the pet owner indicated the animals signs lasted two hours. She did not bring it to the veterinarian. No further information is available.
