Days after the application the cat became symptomatic and was taken to the veterinarian where the cat was bathed by the veterinarian. The cat was given oxygen, CPR and resuscitation medications. The cat experienced cardiac arrest after being given the bath and died on the same day.

The product was not used according to label directions. This was an elderly, underweight cat. Labels states to obtain medical advice before treating aged or sick animals. Underlying medical issues were suspected but could not be determined since a necropsy was not performed.
