On July 31, 2010 shortly after the collar was applied, the cat began having symptoms. On August 2, 2010 the owner removed the collar from the cat. On August 3, 2010 the cat's vomiting ended. On August 4, 2010 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated no clinical signs are expected with appropriate use. The cat's anorexia ended during the APSS consultation. The APSS veterinarian recommended taking the cat to the veterinarian and having the veterinarian call for information.
