On August 8, 2010 the two cats became symptomatic. Shortly after the owner bathed the cats. On August 17, 2010 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated the signs may be due to the cats not liking the smell or feel of the agent on their skin and dermal reactions are usually mild.
