On September 24, 2010 the owner noticed the kitten groomed the spray off himself, then began to hypersalivate. The owner then contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated risk is for taste reaction and gastrointestinal (GI) upset. The APSS assistant relayed the APSS veterinarian's recommendations to provide the kitten with a taste treat, monitor for GI signs, manage vomiting if occurs, bathe the cat with liquid dish washing detergent, and call back with questions.
