On September 5, 2010 the owner applied the product onto her dogs and the cat began playing with them. The cat then began to tremble, so the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian recommended the owner take the cat to the veterinarian and have the veterinarian call for information.

On September 20, 2010 an APSS technician called the veterinary clinic to followup on the case. The veterinary assistant stated the cat then began to tremor, so the owner brought the cat to the veterinarian, where intravenous fluids and robaxin were given while the cat was hospitalized and monitored. The cat fully recovered on September 9, 2010. This product was not used according label directions: Cats that actively groom or engage in close physical contact with recently treated dogs may be at risk of harm.
