The APSS veterinarian stated cats will frequently drool excessively when they have a bad taste in mouth, not a serious sign though distressing to owners to witness. The APSS veterinarian also stated the signs should resolve with offering of a taste treat. The APSS assistant relayed the APSS veterinarian's recommendations to wipe the cat's coat off with a slightly damp cloth and calling back with questions.
