On August 11, 2010 the cat became symptomatic. The cat's signs ended 15 minutes later. The owner then contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated it sounds like the cat objects to the sensation of the product spreading on her back, since similar behavior after previous product uses. The APSS veterinarian also stated that the product contains no insecticides, just the insect growth regulator, so she is not concerned about further signs developing. The APSS assistant relayed the APSS veterinarian's recommendations to provide the cat with a taste treat, monitor the cat home for any further signs or problems, and calling backing with questions.
