(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
On July 15, 2010 the owner bathed the cat with dish washing detergent. Later that day, the APSS veterinarian stated soaking the cat with the product is not recommended, and some of these products contain alcohol, which may cause signs. The APSS veterinarian recommended monitoring the cat at home and calling back with questions.
Moderate
On July 16, 2010 the owner called the APSS back stated the cat was still experiencing signs. The APSS veterinarian recommended taking the cat to the veterinarian, having the veterinarian call for information, providing thermoregulation and food, and calling back with questions. On July 21, 2010 an APSS technician called the owner to follow up the case. The owner stated they had rubbed Karo syrup onto the cat's gums and she started doing better on July 16,2010, but she was still lethargic, but not weak or ataxic anymore. The owner also stated that on July 17, 2010 the cat returned to normal activity and they didn't take the cat to the vet until July 19, 2010, but by then everything had returned to normal. This product was not used according to label directions: spray until damp not soaked.
