On April 23, 2010 the APSS veterinarian recommended the owner take the cat to the veterinarian and have the veterinarian call for information.

On April 27, 2010 an APSS technician called the owner to follow up the case. The owner stated she did not take the cat to the veterinarian, but rather monitored the cat at home, bathed the cat, and applied a topical anesthetic to the application area after she bathed the cat. The owner also stated that the cat's signs ended on April 25, 2010. This product was not used according to label directions: do not use on cats.
