On April 1, 2010 the owner noticed the cat had facial lesions that were red, inflamed open areas, and some were pustulent. On April 4, 2010 the APSS technician stated that if any inflammation would be seen it would happen within 48 hours of the application of the product, not 3 weeks later. The APSS technician also stated that the cat may be having flea bite dermatitis, as the the owner had not treated the environment. The APSS technician recommended the owner take the cat to the veterinarian to be assessed and to have the veterinarian call for information.

The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a doubtful likelihood of causing the clinical situation. A follow up was not performed, because the cat's signs are not related to the product.
