Caller states that he accidentally applied the product to his on June 27 2010. Cat is agitated and is rubbing on the floor on his back. Caller has been rinsing cat with water. . Owner had immediately taken the cat to the emergency clinic l on 27 Jun 2010. Emergency clinic sent the cat home that same evening. On Monday 28 Jun 2010 the cat started seizing at home and died. In the beginning signs probably related to paresthesia caused by permethrin. Apparently signs of feline permethrin toxicosis started later. Generally cats may have a good chance to recover if adequate treatment is applied in time. Nevertheless likely related to intoxication after contact with permethrin.
