The cat had the Advantage product applied and other cats in the house and approx 6 hrs later the cat began to drool, walked into the kitchen. She followed the cat in the room just a minute later and she found the cat dead on the floor.

Salivation is suggestive of product ingestion. As other cats treated concurrently cannot rule out mutual grooming with subsequent product ingestion. However, sudden death not expected even when product was ingested. Other underlying medical conditions likely in this cat. However could not be identified as no necropsy has been performed. Sudden death not consistent with product`s pharmacological profile and it's wide margin of safety
