7. Describe symptoms and outcome (died, recovered, etc.).

Media reported fish kill in Mill Creek August 10, 2010 (Kelowna Daily Courier, provided to Engage Agro August 20, 2010), near the fire site. Firefighting efforts to control fire at Stewart Center resulted in water draining into the environment. Agricultural chemicals were in the Univar Warehouse, part of the Stewart Center, at the time of the fire. We do not know if the agricultural chemicals resulted in the reported fish kill or if the fish died as a result of other materials from the fire entering the environment.

Fire at a Univar Warehouse resulted in water used to fight the fire draining into the environment. Media reported a fish kill. It is unknown whether the fish kill was caused by agricultural pesticides entering the environment with the fire-fighting water or by other materials that may have entered the environment as a result of the fire.
