1-23192708- The reporter, a pet owner, calls to indicate exposure of her animals to a herbicide containing the active ingredients 2,4-D, and Mecoprop. The caller indicates she applied the product to her residential lawn two days prior to the initial contact with the registrant. She reports the two domestic long hair cats had access to the lawn and may have walked over the lawn and potentially groomed their paws. No discreet exposure was described. The morning of the initial contact with the registrant both animals had vomited once. The pet owner asked if the vomiting may possibly be related to exposure. The pet owner was advised no harm would be expected if the animals were allowed access to the application area after the product had dried. The pet owner was advised if the wet product was ingested directly it may yield GI irritation requiring supportive care. On routine call back the pet owner indicated the animals had vomited just the one time. She did not need to bring the animals to the veterinarian. No further information is available.
