On June 11, 2010 a store employee called the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to report that on an unknown date, the cat suffered a stroke and then died. The owner took the cat to the veterinarian where a necropsy was done. The attending veterinarian stated his findings indicate the product resulted in the cat's death. On June 16, 2010 the APSS veterinarian called the owner to discuss the case. The APSS veterinarian tried to obtain necropsy and other medical information, but the owner did not want to provide the information at this time.
