1-22539167: The reporter, an animal owner, calls to report exposure of her cat to a pesticide containing the active ingredient Ferric Phosphate. The caller indicates she applied the product to her garden 05/04/10. She reports her 5 year 15 pound cat has access to the application area and had developed anorexia and lethargy following the application. No exposure was observed. The caller was advised of the active ingredient and the gastrointestinal irritant effect of small ingestions and the threshold at which iron toxicity may occur. It was advised the caller seek veterinary care to help determine the cause of the animals symptoms. On routine call back the pet owner indicated she had taken her animal to the veterinarian where it was determined it had a ¿stomach infection.
