On February 2, 2010 the owners were gone part of the day, and dogs were out in yard all day. The product had been on top of the air conditioner where the owners thought it would be well out of reach. They found the dog dead in her kennel and the product's container was found chewed up in the yard. The APSS veterinarian recommended a necropsy.

On February 3, 2010 an APSS veterinarian contacted the owner. The owner stated that she had taken the body to the animal shelter for disposal, and was not interested in a necropsy. This product was not used according to label directions: do not use where animals have access.
