The APSS technician relayed the APSS veterinarian's statement that mild signs can be seen, and death suggests a permethrin based product might have been involved. On January 18, 2010 an APSS assistant called the owner to recommend hair testing. The owner was not interested in hair testing, as the body has already been buried. The product was not used according to label directions: product to be applied to cats under 5 lbs.
