On November 1, 2009 the cat was symptomatic. On November 3, 2009 the owner took the cat to the veterinarian where blood work was done. The cat died shortly after. The APSS veterinarian recommended the owner have the attending veterinarian call APSS to discuss the case and see what signs developed before the death.

The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a doubtful likelihood of causing the clinical situation. On November 5, 2009 an APSS technician contacted the owner to follow up the case regarding a necropsy. Necropsy results are pending.
