The cat was taken to the veterinarian after showing symptoms. The pet was given "two shots", the caller was not able to specify what was given. Antibiotic drops were given and the animal was sent home. The cat was not washed at any time.

The cat passed away on December 8, 2009. The owner's friend was told that necropsy forms could be faxed to the veterinarian. It is not known if a necropsy was performed. Per staff veterinarian, the product was doubtfully related.
