On October 10, 2009 the owner took the pet to the veterinarian where the pet was bathed with liquid dish washing soap, prescribed sucralfate for 5 days, and prescribed a bland diet. On October 15, 2009 the APSS veterinarian stated that the severity and length of signs are not consistent with the exposure. The APSS technician recommended that the owner take the dog back to the veterinarian to rule out other causes for the diarrhea, such as parasites.
