The APSS veterinarian recommended that the pet owner bathe the cat with liquid dish soap, monitor the cat at home, take the cat to the veterinarian if signs persist, and call back with questions.

On September 10, 2009 an APSS technician spoke to the pet owner. The pet owner stated that she bathed the cat and monitored him at home. The cat made a full recovery on September 7, 2009.
