The pet owner bathed the cat and immersed him in cold water. The APSS veterinarian stated that permethrins are not well tolerated by cats. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the pet owner take the kitten to the veterinarian immediately and have the veterinarian call for information. The pet owner refused to take the kitten to the veterinarian due to financial concerns.
