On July 9, 2009, the owner rinsed the cat with water and contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian recommended that the pet owner bathe the cat with liquid dish soap, monitor at home, and take the cat to the veterinarian if shaking is noted.

On July 11, 2009, the regular veterinarian contacted the APSS. The regular veterinarian stated that the cat presented to the clinic on July 10, 2009 in rigor. The cat had been seizing next to a lake, fell in, and drowned. Product was not used according to label directions: do not use on cats.
