Death
The information contained in this report is based on self-reported statements provided to the registrant during telephone Interview(s). These self-reported descriptions of an incident have not been independently verified to be factually correct or complete descriptions of the incident. For that reason, information contained in this report does not and can not form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews. No determination of causality can be made in this case. The consumer refused to provide any details on the age, weight, breed or medical history of the cat. Furthermore, they refused to report any symptoms the cat may have been experiencing prior to death. Nor did they seek veterinary evaluation for the cat. The lack of important details such as this make determination of casualty impossible. Products containing these same chemicals at a significantly stronger concentration are routinely used in veterinary medicine and are applied directly to cats without adverse effects. Therefore, the cause of feline death secondary to routine home use of this product is not expected.
