1-20234085: A reporter (dog owner) called on 09/28/2009 to report the exposure of his dog to a flea and tick shampoo containing the active ingredients d-trans-Allethrin, NOBD, and Methoprene, and to a flea and tick powder containing the active ingredient Tetrachlorvinphos. According to the reporter, the products were applied to the dog on 09/27/2009. The dog was found dead the morning of the report. The reporter was advised that adverse effects are not expected with routine product use. A recommendation was made to consider necropsy to determine the cause of death. No further information was obtained. NOTE: It is not recommended to use both products on a pet at the same time.
