On July 17, 2009, the cat's tongue was protruding, and he vomited and defecated. The owner rinsed the cat with water, and the cat had a seizure and died. The pet owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) that same day. The APSS veterinarian stated that a taste reaction may be seen if the product is groomed from the coat. The pet owner declined necropsy.
