The APSS veterinarian stated that the clinical sign experienced by the cat is more consistent with scratching at fleas or flea allergy dermatitis than exposure to the product. The APSS veterinarian recommended the owner take her cat to the veterinarian and have the veterinarian call for information. The owner took her cat to the veterinarian on September 29, where he was given a corticosteroid and imidacloprid. The owner also discontinued use of the product on September 29.
