On May 13, 2008,The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner monitor the dog at home, bathe the dog, apply vitamin E to the application site, monitor the dog's food and water intake, and feed a bland diet. The owner called to get additional treatment advice. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner take the dog to his local veterinary clinic if the dog continued to vomit. The APSS veterinarian stated that when used as directed, the product is generally considered to have a "wide margin of safety in dogs." It is possible that this dog may be having a mild systemic reaction, but other causes for the nonspecific clinical signs (lethargy and anorexia) cannot be completely ruled out. On May 15, 2008, the owner stated that he took the dog to his local veterinary clinic for an examination.
