1-16395261: The reporter called on 7/14/08 to report the death of her 8 year old dog after application of a topical flea and tick product containing the active ingredient Phenothrin. According to the reporter, the product had been applied on 7/12/08. That evening, the dog had begun to ¿¿¿act funny¿¿¿ and by the next morning the dog had developed seizures. The reporter had taken the pet to a veterinarian, and had been told the product had caused the dog¿¿¿s liver and kidneys to shut down. The dog died at some unknown time after product application. It is unknown what if any treatments were done by the veterinarian. It is unknown what if any diagnostic testing was done by the veterinarian. No additional information is available.
