On September 12, the owner took her cat to its regular veterinarian where her cat was given a bath, an antibiotic, fluid therapy, and discharged. The APSS veterinarian stated that when used appropriately, systemic signs would not be expected unless an individual is extremely sensitive or allergic to one or more of the product ingredients. The kitten had a history of slow growth and slow weight gain and was small for its age. The veterinarian who treated the cat suspected some type of infection.
