The owner took the animal to the veterinarian for assessment. The regular veterinarian gave the animal atropine and started him on fluids. She then called the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) for treatment recommendations. The APSS veterinarian stated that significant signs would not be expected in this dog from only wearing the collar. The APSS veterinarian recommended to the regular veterinarian to take radiographs and control vomiting. Dog is allowed to roam free and an exposure to another toxic agent was suspected.
