CASE# 1-16510662 HARTZ 1-16510662: The reporter called on 08/11/2008 to report the exposure of three cats) to a flea egg and larvae product containing the active ingredient Methoprene. According to the reporter, the product was applied to all three cats on 08/08/2008. Two cats (subform III #1) each vomited one time 45 minutes after exposure and had ¿¿¿glossy eyes¿¿¿ beginning on 8/11/2008. The third cat (subform III #2) was reported to have ¿¿¿glossy¿¿¿ eyes beginning on 08/11/2008. The caller was advised that ingestion of the product during grooming could lead to vomiting, but the reason for the ¿¿¿glossy¿¿¿ eyes is unknown. A recommendation was made to have the cats evaluated by a veterinarian and to call back as needed. Attempts at follow-up were unsuccessful and no further information was obtained.
