1-16011812: The reporter called on 4/12/08 to report he had applied a topical flea and tick product containing the active ingredient Methoprene to his 4 year old cat on 4/9/08. Within minutes of application, the cat had begun shaking. The reporter did not bathe the cat nor did he seek medical attention. The shaking had resolved on its own about 1-2 days later. The reporter then stated the cat had begun vomiting the morning of the call (4/12/08), and had then spontaneously passed away 1.5 hours prior to the call. Information about a company-sponsored necropsy was discussed and the forms for this were faxed to the reporter. No further contact has been received.
