On June 26, 2008, the animal became hyperactive, began to hypersalivate, and developed epiphora. The APSS veterinarian recommended the owner give the animal a small amount of milk as a taste treat, wipe the residue of the product off of the animal's fur, and monitor the animal at home. If the signs continue, the owner was advised to bathe the animal in liquid dish washing detergent.
