1-16296508: The registrant was notified on 6/6/08 of litigation involving a male patient who had worked as landscaper and gardener for multiple facilities and employers in (state) from about 1969-2007. Summary from litigation: During this time he and co-workers in his direct proximity mixed and sprayed herbicides and other chemical products on weeds, plants, and grass as part of their employment. The chemical products to which the patient was exposed contained significant concentrations of pesticides which contain toxins, dioxin and organic solvents, benzene, as well as other organic solvents. As a direct and proximate result of said exposure to said toxic chemical products the patient sustained serious injuries to his internal organs, including Parkinson's Disease (first diagnosed in or about June of 2006). As medical treatment for Parkinson's Disease the patient has been hospitalized and undergone other medically necessary and lifesaving treatment and will continue to require such medical treatment in the future. Following is a list of those chemical products thus far identified to which the patient was exposed during the course of his employment with multiple employers, which contain certain toxins, and all of which caused his toxic injuries and occupational diseases: 1) Registrant products: Daconil, Daconil Weather Stick, Daconil 2787 Flowable Fungicide, Diazinon, Paraquat, Princep, Subdue, Subdue 2E, Subdue GR, Subdue Maxx and 2) Multiple non-company products: 2, 4-D; 2-4-D Spray; 2,4-D Amine Spray; 2-4-D Ester; 2, 4-Dichlorophenol; Aliette; Aliette WDG Fungicide; Amitrol T; Bayleton; Bromomethane; Captan; Chlordane; Chlorothalonil; Cythion; Deildrin; Diazinon; Durspan Pro; Fore; Guthion; Joust; Karmex; Karmex DF; Karrnex IWC; Kamex XP; Kelthane; Lindane; Malathion; Mavrik Aquaflow; Methyl Bromide; Orth; Orthene; Orthenex; Ronstar; Ronstar WSP Herbicide; Ronstar 50 WSP Herbicide; Round Up; Simazine 4L; Simazine 90DF; Temek; Tempo; Terflan; Terflan AS; Trimec; Turflon; Turflon Ester; Vapam; and Vendex.
