On February 26, 2008, the owner took the symptomatic animal into a local veterinary clinic. The attending veterinarian placed the animal on Isoflurane and administered diazepam. The animal was given a bath and was thermoregulated with ice packs initially and then warmed after her temperature dropped. The APSS staff member recommended methocarbamol and fluids be administered and supportive and symptomatic care be provided. The owner stated that the animal died in the hospital on February 26, 2008 after aggressive treatment.
