On February 18, 2008, the owner took the cat to the local veterinary clinic where it was bathed and given IV fluids. The cat was also placed on Isoflurane and given Valium. These treatments were not effective. The APSS veterinarian recommended treatment with Methocarbamol and Phenobarbitol, and transfer to an emergency clinic for overnight care. The attending veterinary staff stated the animal died on February 21, 2008
