1/25/2008Caller is the caretaker of a person who has used product to treat bedbugs in the home for the past three months. The patient developed eye irritation after a month of product use. The patient has not had any direct ocular exposure to product. The patient surmises that the bed bugs are somehow carrying the pesticide into his eyes. The patient has had eyes evaluated by doctor, and the doctor prescribed eye drops for treatment. The patient is still having symptoms. 2/1/2008Call back to caretaker for follow up. Patient was seen by doctor again, and was prescribed a cream to help treat the symptoms. The patient continues to experience symptoms.

The information contained in this report is based on self-reported statements provided to the registrant during telephone Interview(s). These self-reported descriptions of an incident have not been independently verified to be factually correct or complete descriptions of the incident. For that reason, information contained in this report does not and can not form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews. Even though direct eye exposure with this pesticide typically leads to eye irritation, there is nothing in this history to indicate that this patient has experiences direct exposure to the eyes.
