On October 4, 2007, the owner applied the flea and tick spray and the spot on to her cat as a form of treatment. On the same day, October 4, 2007, the owner also treated her home with the Premise spray.

On October 5, 2007, the APSS toxicologist stated that lethargy is a vague sign and can result from a number of situations. The owner was advised to bathe the animal and monitor him at home.

The APSS toxicologist stated that there was a low likelihood that the use of the products led to the clinical situation. On October 11, 2007 the owner called into the APSS to update the case. The owner stated that the animal was bathed, monitored at home for signs, and had fully recovered.
