On October 1, 2007, the owner took the dog to the veterinarian, where the dog was given a steroid injection and sent home with prednisone. The APSS staff member stated that most of the signs are consistent with a dermal sensitivity reaction. The APSS staff member recommended that the dog be bathed with liquid dish washing detergent, and Vitamin E be applied at the application site. Follow up call to owner determined owner did not apply Vitamin E.
