On July 28, 2007 the owner took the patient to the regular veterinarian. Animal Poison Control Centre advised caller signs should be self-limiting. The APSS staff then recommended the caller bathe the patient in liquid dish washing detergent to remove the product from the patient's skin. The staff also suggested the caller keep the patient warm after the bath and recommended if the patient's appetite did not increase the next day, he should be evaluated again by a veterinarian.
