On July 19, 2007, at 17:30 pm, CDT, the owner applied this product to her 10 month old, female, intact, Domestic Shorthair. The product was applied dermally to the animal. However, there was also an oral exposure because the cat licked the application site after the dermal exposure.

The owner removed the animal from the environment for a short period of time and then attempted to rinse off the animals coat with water, prior to contacting the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). Since the cat already recovered, the APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner monitor the cat at home, keep the cat in a quiet area, and provide thermoregulation. The owner was also advised to give the cat some milk to remove the taste from the cat's mouth.
