On July 9, 2007 at 7:00 AM CDT, the owner noticed the cat was experiencing anorexia, adipsia, shallow breathing, and was wobbly. On July 11, the owner removed the collar from the cat prior to calling APSS. The APSS staff recommended that the veterinarian call for for information. The owner stated that the APSS recommendations were not followed and the cat died at 8:00 PM CDT on July 11, 2007.

Product not used according to label directions. Label states remove collar and bathe at the onset of signs. Necropsy suggested but not performed. The Animal Product Safety Service staff determined that this product was considered to have a low likelihood of causing the clinical situation.
