9/3/2007 3:49:40 PM Caller states that her dog may have ingested all 8 blocks of this product 5 hours ago. The dog is currently asymptomatic. One week post ingestion, the dog developed coughing and swelling under the chin. The dog was evaluated by the veterinarian, the swellings were aspirated and found to be "fluid filled" and the aspirate sites bled readily. Labs revealed a ¿¿¿red blood cell abnormality" that was not specified by the caller. A coagulation panel was not done. The dog was put on antibiotics and steroids but died in the vet clinic the day of admission. No diagnosis was given. No necropsy was performed.
